Rhythm Calculator - Advanced rhythm trainer and metronome App Reviews

I am a returning trumpet player, and was having a hard time negotiating the rhythm especially on pieces that included eighth, sixteenth, doted notes etc. This app has been a jewel. Recommendation: add the ability to number the measures.

Ive downloaded it twice thus far, Id like my money back.

Its a great app, love practicing with it - 4 stars. Would love to see multitask ability (sounds shut off when my screen sleeps) and a swing function before I rate it 5 stars. Thanks for the app, keep it up

Im interested in seeing a few improvements to this app if possible. 1)A clearer way to write triplets based on the duration you initially want. So you want a triplet quarter note in the duration of a half note then it would allow you to write that. Current version isnt quite there for the more complex rhythms. 2) a way to accelerate and decelerate to a new tempo would be useful. 3)Being able to write a sudden tempo change half way through the excerpt. 4)change what that speed is based on. Instead of always having a quarter note be the measure it would be nice to be able to use in 8th or 16th. 5)Having the pitch of the beat change would help when trying to keep in a key. Instead of a drone it would be a pitched beat. 6) polyrhythm writing by adding another line that is completely independent from the first. This would help percussionists with more complex works. Thats a just a few things I think would help this app. Its useful as is but it could be a lot better. Still 5 stars.

Doesnt work with iOS 9

Great idea, but the developer has done nothing to fix bugs or keep up with iOS changes or even respond to queries for at least two years. Too bad, it could have been a fabulous aid to learning music notation.

I can not use the app as it keeps crashing in IOS 9.

I really used to think this app was convenient, but then it stopped working on me?? It stops half way through a measure and the whole app freezes. I just wanna practice my music.

This is a great concept, but with terrible execution. I can enter the rhythm just fine, the app completely freezes when I hit play. Kinda defeats the entire purpose of the app. I want a refund.

This app is *not* friends with the new update. Ive used this app since my junior year or high school and its been so helpful. But the update has rendered this useless now as a freshmen in college when I need it most. Please make it iOS9 compatible so it doesnt crash every time I play a new rhythm!

Anytime you try to play back the app crashes. I love the concept but it simply isnt working..

This used to be the most useful and helpful music education app I had in my collection. Now it just locks up every time I try to use it. Please fix this great app or pull it off the shelf!

It crashes every time I open it. If it worked I would use it everyday and tell all of my musician friends who would also love this app.

The app constantly freezes up in the middle of a measure. Sometimes, it freezes or slows down my phone completely, which is really annoying. When it occasionally works, however, it is very helpful. I wouldnt buy it again, but a few updates could make the app function better.

I just got this app and every time I try to play the rhythm I entered it just freezes, fix this or pull it off the store so people dont waste their money

While this app does let me compose, it doesnt play the rhythm well. It stops in the middle of a measure. Its probably not compatible with iOS 9. From what Ive read it seems as if Im not alone on this issue. PLEASE FIX THIS. THIS IS A GREAT APP WORTHY OF 5 STARS IF IT WORKED.

It is a good app. The only problem I have been having is when ever I want to play the rhythm, it glitches out and crashes

Its a great concept but it has a very poor execution. It freezes during playback, it freezes when your typing the notes in, it wont let me add stuff between notes, and the directions were very vague and awful. This was a waste of money.

BECAUSE: The developer no longer supports the App. After iOS 9 update Rhythm Calculator does work properly. It Crashes. There have been multiple attempts to contact the developer by myself and others. See the the developers help desk. The developer has not responded nor has the developer submitted updates of the software to the App Store. It does not work. The developer has abandoned development. This app needs to be removed from App Store. Do not buy because it does not work.
